This had potential, but didn't deliver. The acting was good and it was interesting enough to watch it through, but overall I felt like I didn't understand the point of it all. It felt very disjointed - and some of the characters/scenes - especially in episode 5 - weren't needed at all. I ended up fast forwarding through some bits, because I'd had enough, and didn't want to waste anymore of my time - but still wanted to see the conclusion - which could have been done better . The best thing about it was getting to see HK - both good and bad. I found that interesting.

I always look forward to a new season, but with each new one, I'm becoming more and more disappointed. The writing is so poor, it's making the actors look bad. The storylines aren't always realistic and sometimes the lines are so terrible the actors don't even seem committed to saying them. And those 'teachable moments' are the worst thing about this show - they're not woven in discreetly but are so blatant that I resent the writer's desire to teach me some moral/cultural lesson. Even when they're sharing scientific facts you feel like it's 'lesson time' rather than watching professionals having a genuine chat amongst themselves. This used to be such an excellent show. It's not terrible - it's still a decent watch - the production of it is still good - but it's mostly my sense of loyalty that keeps me committed to watching it. Oh, and I'm all for diversity, being a minority myself in various ways, but at the moment it's like they're trying to tick all the diversity boxes as fast as they can, rather than choose characters/actors that will enhance the story. In some ways, this is worse than not trying at all. In summary, I will keep watching for now, but please change the writer(s).
