what a let down. i am a huge fan of the strangers and the strangers: prey at night, and when i heard about the 3 part reboot i was skeptical but very excited. the trailer genuinely has more action in it than the actual film. with 1hr 22 min run time, and SPOILER ALERT the kills happen in the last 4-5 mins, the rest of the film was just the couple aimlessly running around air bnb plot and injuring them selves accidentally, the strangers felt like they were barely in it. so so disappointing. i mean if they were going for a self aware, cliche horror then this is it, with all the tropes that actually make you angry at the characters for their stupid choices and genuinely not care if they live or die. the only part i liked was the continuation of the 2 young boys handing out religious leaflets, as im hoping this somehow alludes to who the strangers really are. other than this, genuinely so so SO disappointing and not sure how this leaves me feeling about this franchise.
