The 2021 new season is pathetic, the story lines unbelievable and the over the top acting ridiculous. This one should be deleted from your PVR without delay!

The Rookie was one of my favourite shows. It started out as true drama series with great actors. But last season and the beginning of this season have been huge disappointments. Unrealistic plot lines is the biggest complaint. Frankly they are ridiculous. Also the new actors brought on this season are terrible. Trying way too hard with over the top acting or no acting at all. Also how the female training officer speaks to her rookie is so over the top. If she tried that in real life she’d be fired in a heartbeat. I’m not sure what audience the writers are trying to draw But they certainly will you lose their base if they continue along this path. Perhaps they’re looking to make this a comedy series?? The background music this season is so loud it’s sometimes difficult to hear what the actors are saying. Recommend passing on this show until they get some new writers and actors.
