' SOLO ' (Malayalam movie ) is a 2017 bilingual experimental romantic thriller film written and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles. The film has been Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil. My Review of '' SOLO'' Hats off to Bijoy Nambiar for his brilliantly directed Malayalam movie 'Solo' starring Dulquer Salman .Sai Dhanshika, Arthi Venkatesh, Sruthi Hariharan and Neha Sharma are the heroines ( in the order of appearance) . There are four different stories. Each story is styled differently corresponding to the themes it is based on.Each theme represents different facets of Lord Shiva . In story -1 Shekhar (Water ) flows freely and has the ability to overcome obstacles. In story -2 Trilok ( Wind ) is a live giver and life taker. In story -3 Shiva (Fire ) is the ultimate in destruction and cleanses the soul. In story -4 Rudra. ( Earth ) is the one who bears everything. Stellar performances by DQ ( Dulquer Salman) in all the four stories of this anthology makes the movie worth watching . He needs a standing ovation for the true portrayal of the characters -Shekhar ( college student )Trilok ( doctor )Shiva ( Gangster)and Rudra ( Army man ). My personal favourite is the stammering Shekhar. Screenplay and story telling is exceptional and the background music is excellent . The visuals are stunning . The cinematography is brilliant and the costumes are apt and to the times . Solo is a different experience altogether for the Malayali audience. It is an experimental movie and not a typical masala movie with a happy ending . It is a must watch for serious movie lovers and not for dummies .It is a movie that makes the viewer think more after he has watched it .It is also a different movie for people who are tired of watching cliche movies over the years I really enjoyed watching the movie ! Go watch it guys ! Go explore something different ! Once again hats off to Bijoy Nambiar and the whole crew of 'Solo '.👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
