THIS, book was alright. Good read. (didn't feel as long as Wonder, but prob bc its shorter and Julian story is not the most detailed.) There was A LOTTT To unpack on the Julian chapter. I do not know if its just me, but I can see a tiny bit of traits in Julian as well as August. SPOILERS: From when his mom was talking about this anxiety issues, and him telling her to be a quiet. -Also, spoiler, the parents need a raise rn. Julian is the type of child to throw away your whole dreams, feel sorry with a puppy face, and do it again in 2 years. Give the mom, and DAD a badge. I know we didn't get much of a backstory in the Wonder book, but I feel like they got a bucket of lore, and poured it on Julians story. Next. Although, as somebody who knows what it once it was like to be in elementary, Julian bullying August for stolen popularity Just didn't fit with me. I get it, they are 5th graders, they can be a little dum, but popularity? Usually if this happened it was because the girl who has a cast has more signatures on it than you. IT doesn't make a huge impact on you unless you make it to be. Thank you for your time. Overall, read the book, give it a go. Lets see what you think
