Wanted to like it because “If you wait” played a really important part in my life as a depressed 14 year old but unfortunately this album like it’s 2 predecessors sounds like it’s trying to be their debut but with all the self awareness and insecurity that comes with having had a debut album that good that still holds up as your best. I’m giving it 3 because its not awful and I want to believe that they can make another album in the future that doesn’t feel this empty but for now “if you wait” remains the only London grammar album I truly love

Let me start by saying I am a massive fan of Wes Anderson so my feelings about this movie are very likely influenced by that as I just generally like his style and characters. I really enjoyed this movie although I find the cutting to a narration or different storyline one of my least favourite parts, I struggled with this in the French dispatch even though here it was because it was anthology. I found myself wanting way more of the bright colours of asteroid city and less of the story about the author whom I felt was both given too little and too much time for me to care or feel I knew why I was supposed to care about him aside from that he had written asteroid city. Overall I enjoyed it but I prefer when there isn’t a second story to cut back to or like the grand Budapest when it is done in a way that it happens just when you might wonder what’s happening. I enjoyed the inclusion of the alien and the 3 girls who were very funny. I think I just would be happy to see something like the grand Budapest hotel or fantastic mr fox or Rushmore (although I know this is highly unlikely)
