Excellent cast, production & premise. Unfortunately let down by a dismally weak script. Huge reliance of cliché in lieu of exposition & a dreadful attempt at episodifying (what I assume are) plot arcs from the source material. The use of infantile language verges on patronising, while the presence of expletives (not itself a problem) indicates the show is not solely intended for a younger audience. The viewing experience is sadly reminiscent of the Chibnall series of Doctor Who. I find myself wanting to read the books, but disinclined to view any subsequent series. 👎
