I was very excited about this film, but was sorely disappointed. As many other reviews have stated, it focused far too much on Bernstein’s sexuality and marriage, and not enough on his accomplishments, musicianship, or even other aspects of his personal life aside from his sexuality. Wasted opportunity, despite well-done acting, set design, makeup, and so on.
