Love the cinematography and I can appreciate their effort to bring another flavor of Poirot. Malkovich shows older, sad Poirot and I can symphatize with that. However, it's bloody boring. David Suchet managed to deliver it in 1,5 hour and it kept me on the edge of my seat. They are trying to hard. I try my best to eatch until the end of first episode, no more. I rather watch Agatha Raisin.
