As bad as the original was amazing. The few cameos Chad Bozeman had were about all that saved the film.

I didn't know what movie the 5 star raters in here were watching, but this movie was pretty awful. First, let me say that the first one was a solid 10 in my book. Having 4 daughters, I excitedly took them all and my wife to the theatre for it's premiere. Every one of us loved it! It was full of action, grace, love. The story line was spot on and it moved not too slow, not too fast. Tonight, we decided to watch WW84 in our home theatre. Same group, except a friend of one of my daughters joined us. We had sodas, popcorn and candy. We were all very excited. Man...what a letdown! One daughter fell asleep, one went to her room about 45 minutes in and the friend was on her phone most the time. I found it slow and cheesy, with little of the action I enjoyed in the first. Instead of being focused on being woman-empowering, it was man-bashing. That comment from one of my daughters, btw. I love KW, but found her character and performance one dimensional. Given that she and Emily Blunt look alike, perhaps the latter should have played the character. But even that wouldn't have saved this film. And please...Linda Carter at the end? For Christ's sake, MUST we give a cameo to the original actor in the franchise? I worshipped her as a teenaged boy. But just give it a rest. The one redeeming thing about this movie is that it streamed for free on HBO MAX. Maybe the only good result of this crazy screwed-up, Covid infested 2020.
