Al and Jane Forsyth

Love the books. Not sure about this production. The acting is first class but the story tries too hard. For instance, I can believe that Rebus' brother would rob small time drug dealers but not that he would organise a major heist at short notice. Heroes with flaws are more interesting; I get that. But no redeeming qualities at all? I can sympathise with Rebus' family, his colleagues, even the criminals but I really don't like the man himself.
