Film would of been "good" if I didn't read the book beforehand. Having done so i can rip the film apart, the timeline is wrong, the characters are of, degot never escaped and never went that fare and celier (not his actual name) was a lot more respected and respectable than portrayed. Hes the one to break his leg and died not long after his stint in solitary. A lot of missing characters and vital scenes but I suppose thats what you get when cramming 10 years into 2 hours. Each characters memory has been desicrated by this film which infuriated me. If you want the real story this film is mildly based of, please read the amazing book of the same name by Henri charrière
