Moana 2 was great! It is pretty different from the first movie but still a movie I will rewatch many times in the future! Great things: amazing animation, I actually loved the soundtrack, Moana and her crew were pretty memorable, and there was a lot of funny moments. But I do have some complaints. First, the story was super linear. There wasn’t much conflict and instead she saw she needed to go out again, she went out, and saved the day. The stakes didn’t feel high, there wasn’t any real obstacles, and nothing could stop her. It was really quick. Second, the movie spent a lot of time and effort showing glimpses of a mysterious character that feels very important but also villainous. And then when Moana finally meets her, the character does a whole song to motivate Moana and then disappears for literally the rest of the movie with no update. That felt very off. There wasn’t really an antagonist…like there was a angry god they had to defeat, but you never meet him and they and save the day quickly. Like felt very…hallow. I was honestly surprised when the movie ended because I was waiting for more. 6/10 in my personal review.

This was my favorite from 2024 and it’s so addictive. The colors, acting, cinematograph… just everything is perfection. And it somehow manages to be a horror movie, comedy movie, fun movie, and serious movie all at the same time.

I know only two episodes are out, but after watching (and loving) WandaVision and Dr. Strange MoM, this show is exactly what I hoped it would be! The first episode is basically a new WandaVision style episode but comes quickly to an end. The second episode is fun and leaves me excited for me. Highly recommend so far!

One of my favorite movies of all time. Clever and full of twist and turns with amazing actors and performances. 5/5 stars.

This film was excellent and jumped straight into Panem from the point of view of a Capitol citizen, 64 years prior to the first The Hunger Games book/movie. During the 10th Annual Hunger Games, Snow (a student at the academy) finds himself in a mentor role for the female District 12 Tribute. But soon, he finds himself fighting for survival in different types of games.

By fay my favorite The Hunger Games installment and the movie was perfect, almost directly reflecting the book. Jennifer Lawrence’s acting is excellent and you feel as if you are living in her shoes.

This movie was amazing. Nothing could have prepared me for the roller coaster that this was. And the unique characters and choice of actors for each character was flawless and made the movie 5-stars. Highly recommend.

In typical A24 style, Civil War was packed with great and expressive cinematography, constant suspense, scenes that cut deep psychologically. The movie started with no real explanation of why the civil war was occurring or how it started. Instead, it just jumps straight into the disturbing mess of it all and the movie ends there too with no happy ending. Good people are dying and common cities we know today are ravaged. Everyone is a loser in this war which is highlighted by the main characters who are journalists documenting the war. Despite the journalists becoming numb to it all, you see how it begins to tear their mind apart. I liked the movie a lot and it is less an action movie and more a movie that forces you to think and hope we never end up in a situation like the movie. If you love other A24 movies, you will most likely love this movie, too. If you normally dislike A24 movies, this might not be your favorite. Regardless, give it a watch!

My favorite conjuring movie. I’ve rewatched it several time and I’ve enjoyed it every time.
