I was looking forward to this because of Scotland scenery & Cary Elwes but I was so disappointed. It was sooo bad! Unbelievably bad. How did this ever get made?? This movie made Hallmark movies seem like masterpieces in comparison. Every aspect was a failure, from the script to the awful accents to the lack of reality. It didn't make sense. No chemistry between the actors at all. Best thing was the dog.

Loved it at first, even though the storyline was unoriginal, with too much time spent on too many silly but loveable NK characters. It dragged a lot, especially how long the male star & secondary female star were stone-faced & silent. Much was left unexplained for so long it was forgotten. A lot of confusion - about the ending especially. Not acceptable to have a main character die in a dramedy! The 3 families were sooo rich that the 2 couples could have arranged to be together once secondary male star was cleared & main male star became a civilian. The 14th & 15th episodes were excellent but the 16th was unbelievable & a complete let down. Somebody explain how he went from the wrong train to the exact spot on a mountain top, with nothing around as far as the eye could see, where she accidentally landed! Who helped her take off & how was she supposed to get home? So these rich, young, gorgeous people were celibate for YEARS hoping to run into each other somewhere in the world??? Were they together in the end or did they settle for seeing each for only 2 weeks out of wach year?

Didn't make sense from the beginning, but I was hoping for a pretty good mystery. I finished it because I liked the actors. Big mistake, last episode was the worst. It starts out with the main male character obsessing over & almost stalking - for years - a fellow HS student through adulthood. She was beautiful & conceited, he was very ugly, mainly because of his teeth. He had no idea that she really liked from when they were in school. They twisted the plot beyond belief! If his family was so rich & his parents were so loving, why didn't they ever take him to a dentist & an orthodontist?? His life was miserable because of his looks. He could have had plastic surgery on his face when he was an adult & rich himself. Also, when he was young his teeth looked normal but he was obese - another problem his parents could have dealt with. Who were the ones who gave him the abyss? Aliens? Angels? Why him? Why couldn't they prevent him from falling in the first place? None of this is explained. Just like it's never explained why he faded, where he went, why he was in agony but chose to follow his love around on earth instead of possibly getting better & returning earlier than after 3 years. So many other things didn't make sense! Like why the main female character came back with the face, but not the body, of a colleague, who, coincidentally, at that exact time, was getting plastic surgery on her face for no apparent reason? Also, it was very jarring for so many of the actors to have bright, white false teeth or veneers. And the stars' drastic height difference was unattractive & awkward.

The 1 star is for the rest of the cast, but John Malkovitz is horrendous in this. I couldn't watch any more because I couldn't bear to listen to his atrocious accent. Couldn't they get him a coach?? The writing is just as bad & not like any other Agatha Christie story I've ever seen or read before. Think of everything that makes you need to vomit. It's in here. Gore for the sake of gore. Malkovitz's Poirot is so sad & lifeless, he speaks jerkily, as if he has to take a moment to think about how to speak with an appropriate accent. Unfortunately, he gets it wrong each & every time.

The best things about this show were the clothes & the cook. There was no 4th romantic knight & nothing else about the plot made sense either. The grandfather was so cruel that he lost relationships with his sons, which he regretted, then does the same thing to his grandsons, even after spying on & knowing everything about them, & supposedly loving them? They were so rich but couldn't afford a window in the room where one grandson spent all of his time? Or afford a counselor to help their awful relationships? So he throws an adorable, inexperienced girl in the house, living a few feet away from 3 young, angry guys? They all acted like inexperienced young teenagers. "Cinderella" is 20 & hasn't graduated high school or been on a date yet? Countless shots of the front of this ugly house which was supposed to be so safe but anybody could walk right in. Terribly designed layout & ugly decor. The characters were unbelievable, with the ex-girlfriend clinically depressed & obsessed over a childhood friend who she hasn't seen since she was ten. Was that the "love" they were pining over? The mansion was secluded & on acres of land yet everybody walked miles to the city. How? And how did the star get to her 3 part-time jobs? Why was she still working? Why didn't 2 of the cousins have jobs or the heir have training so he could take over the business? Why didn't they fix the star's front teeth? The guys looked like little boys with all that hair covering their foreheads & eyes. And I know Korean actors wear lipstick but why so much of it? Just a hint of color is enough. One cousin never ate & nothing was done about it. All of the guys were very, very skinny, which was unattractive, with one spending all his time on his bed. No explanation for all these cruel people turning out to be suddenly kind hearted.
