This is probably one of the most unappealing period dramas I've seen. Nauseous and narcissistic. The characters talk as if they've been regurgitated from Merchant-Ivory films.

Anarchic, surreal and endlessly funny. One of the best comedies in years. Shame on the BBC for not continuing with it.
