As a Dua Lipa fan, I definitely have waited long enough for her to produce more music. She describes Radical Optimism that is vastly different sonically, but in my opinion it sounds like any other Dua Lipa song (in a good way though). Take my favorite song “Falling Forever” for example, the song demonstrates her vocal control and unique melody that hooks you in from start to finish.
I can understand what she means by Radical Optimism where the songs gives you a sense of “hard goodbye and vulnerable beginnings” and that one can “move with grace through the chaos”. Songs like, Maria, Anything For Love, and Falling Forever upholds the title of the album very well.
Although I am a bit disappointed that she did not have a song referencing temperature to some degree similar to “Cool” or “Fever” from Future Nostalgia or “Hotter Than Hell” from her first album. In addition to my disappointment, there are only 11 songs on this album! Dula Peep, you teased use with 3 songs since December and only give us 11?! I want more and I know you have more hidden in your booklet!
