Funny, stylish and on the whole great casting and acting (ayame’s the weak link in the acting part) As someone who understands Japanese and English, I don’t get all these criticisms about the OST. It’s perfect and the songs fit the episodes/scenes. The lyrics painted the mood of the dysfunctional but remarkable family to a T. This was set in modern times so I didn’t find the disconnect with using English songs. On the contrary it enhanced my viewing experience. Kaku Kento reminds me of Kimura Takuya as an actor and proved a pleasant surprise for me.

Predictable, but entertaining and well-acted out by the main actors. First time I’ve seen Dayo Wong act and was pleasantly surprised. Renci Yeung, Adam Pak and SC Kam also delivered. Sure it’s a little melodramatic, but you could feel this has more heart than most hk or mainland films nowadays
