I thought this would be an interesting movie to watch however it is dull as dishwater and depressing. From the dark black and white and 4:3 screens pretending to be filmed in the old days, to badly superimposed acting at original performances made it drab and unrealistic. But come the second part of it when the characters are aging, their voices become deeper with the oddest accents. I normally love Bradley Cooper but his voice sounded part English part American part immigrant with a deep monotonous awful tone and sounds bunged up, in fact the whole movie was monotonous. Both lead actors diction was difficult to follow throughout and I had to keep rewinding to relisten and still couldn't grasp what was said. The writers made the story boring instead of lively and interesting. This is the life of an amazing musician, the whole movie needed life that neither the actors, writers nor production team brought to it! I certainly didn't stay focussed til the end, but what an odd ending. Very disappointing
