I loved everything about it! Acting, cinematography, costumes, storyline etc.
Brilliantly done!
But...it is a huge but too. There are people who daily struggle with mental illness ranging from anxiety disorders to psychosis to schizophrenia.
In a world where people with mental illness are already being misunderstood, discriminated against and driven to isolation due to the lack of awareness about mental health and crises, this type of movie did a great job associating violence, wrong labelling and pushing anything with term mental health farther deep into the crevices of dark corners in minds of masses.
I won't even go into how this must have impacted those with the actual dignosis and symtoms shown in this movie!!!
Using the word 'Psycho' for Psychosis and Psychopath as synonyms just hit the nail in the coffin.
If you struggle with educating the masses about things that actually matter or don't care about it, that is fine but misrepresenting and misinforming and creating a barrier about things that mean life and death for some people out here is the last thing we should be doing.
