I genuinely enjoyed The Rings Of Power. The episodes felt like a major motion picture. They were definitely a well written and the acting was excellent. The story covered a large time span but that made sense as back story to give context to the current time events. It’s not the story we loved in the original 3 movies but that was a different timeline and it was a finished storyline. I think they’re going to link the storylines as the story continue. The episodes were full of imagination and beautiful to look at and it’s clear that no money or artistry was spared in producing them. I have to wonder if some of the unhappy fans are like so many, pining for things to stay the same. Wanting a regurgitation of what has been done; source material sacreders who can’t see that cannon can and should be a foundation for continued stories and adventures. Who doesn’t want to know what that fiery comet man is? I really like the show. I’ll be watching and hoping for it’s success.
