The magical star's limited powers, centered around making animals talk, contribute to a disjointed and nonsensical plot. This gimmick, coupled with instances of forced slapstick comedy, detracts from the film's coherence and fails to elicit genuine laughter. The reliance on singing and wishing to overcome the villain oversimplifies the resolution, stripping the narrative of tension and making the conclusion unsatisfying. Moreover, the movie's simplistic portrayal of societal power dynamics lacks nuance and fails to offer a compelling commentary. Presenting a world controlled by inherently bad individuals solely motivated by a desire to maintain power oversimplifies complex social structures, leaving the overall story uninteresting and lacking substance. In essence, the movie's failure to address character development, its reliance on superficial humor, and its simplistic thematic approach contribute to an overall unsatisfactory viewing experience.

The only thing I have to say is that Galadriel is the epitome of a pouting eight year old girl who only gets her way.
