BIG Kahuna

"I don't want to sing anymore." -Joker That sums up a lot about how this movie felt. I give 3 stars because on one side I can understand that tue singing was part of the madness and sitting through it you will start to feel a bit crazy yourself. So in that since it works. One or two of the songs actually fit and would have been fine...if you stopped it there. But of course the did not. I don't much care for musicals so take my opinion for what it is. I did enjoy some of the plot itself and the acting was good, but that said I would have preferred to see the story ultimately go in another direction. It was a build up and a let down, but perhaps it's just a sad version of "that's life kid". But is it art or entertainment? It can be both, but in this case it feel short of the job of truly entertaining.
