The story was interesting, but much of the dialogue was very difficult to understand. It was like visiting a foreign country where you can intuit the conversation by catching every fifth word.

Beautifully written. There was an awful lot of psychopathology in this book. I did not like the characters very much. I had read the reviews that compared this book about four sisters to LITTLE WOMEN. I was in no way reminded of Alcottโs book except for the number of main characters. This was a Book Club choice and I am looking forward to hearing if I am the outlier. Spoiler, in case you want to give this to a young adultโฆunwed mom and a lesbian relationship.
