Lytton Strachey is undoubtedly a master Craftsman of English prose. "Queen Victoria" is one of the great biographies of all times. Other biographies on the Queen's life have been subsequently written and have superseded Strachey's version with more up-to-date information, but they have not superseded its continuing appeal.
