Best Superman movie in years. Corenswet steals the show as Superman and Nicholas Hoult is the best DC live action villain since Heath Ledger's Joker and Tom Hardy's Bane. Some have wrongfully called this version of Superman the weakest. That is objectively wrong. Minor spoilers: This version of Superman performs a feat so ridiculous in this movie it's downright silver age superman levels of busted. After weeks of Kryptonite exposure and a minimal amount of sunlight like reactionjust enough for him to recover,this character while caught in a cosmic stream that neuters his flight is able to super breath away from a pocket universe collapsing black hole and fly away while holding a baby and a superdog like it's nothing. Overall id recommend this movie if you want to watch a peak DC villain because Nicholas Hoult is always great every movie he's in and here he's no different. The synergy between him and Corenswet's Superman reminded me of the days of the dark knight similar to synergy between Ledger's Joker and Bale's Batman. They Steal the show every scene they're in. For a superhero movie the movie ends on an dialogue between the protagonist and antagonist which I think should've gone on longer but if something is so great you want more of it that's a positive in my books. For a movie about superheroes metahumans alien races and 4th generation political warfare the message of being good in a world where it's not in fashion anymore is surprisingly welcomed. Watch it.
