I thoroughly enjoyed the younger actors’ performances and Jim Sturgess is outstanding as ever. However, the older incarnation of Alison was monumentally miscast and really spoilt the tone of the series. Such a shame as otherwise it was excellent but only 3 stars as the parts with older Alison were utterly unrelatable.

Absolutely excellent series. I would go so far as to say faultless. Superb acting. Brilliant plot. Bring on series 2.

I thoroughly enjoy Vienna Blood but do query the premise that two episodes constitute a series? Seriously, 4-6 episodes is a series, surely, 2 episodes is just one movie …

Excellent series -brilliant writing and casting - as a reader this was akin to unputdownable book.
