I have seen the musical 10 times and Hollywood could not resist trying to improve on something that already worked. The actors for Glinda, Elphaba, and Fiyero were awesome and played their parts to perfection. The women's voices harmonized perfectly. However, the additional and unnecessary scenes ruined the movie. The movie, part 1, is already longer than the entire musical! When Elphaba is singing solos her incredible voice should be the focus, not extraneous sets and CGI. The violence, action scenes, and Harry Potter magic at the end was horrible. I won't be seeing part 2.

Lovely and magical. I found myself smiling while watching. A new side to Emily Blunt.
