The Battle of Liege: The First World War Battle is the worst book I have yet read dealing with the subject of the First World War. It is very poorly written. Sentence structure, grammar, and poor use of vocabulary make this hard to read. Organizationally, it is inchoate, and repeats the same information numerous times. The maps do not give detail. I would not recommend this book to anyone. In fact, while I usually cherish books and have passed them on to others, this one is going in the wastebasket as soon as I finish this review. It does not even deserve the one star I am forced to use to post this.
