An over-the-top, unnecessarily loud, mindlessly violent, and melodramatic film that can easily rival a cheesy Bollywood's commercial trash offering. Wonder what motivated actors of the caliber of Tom Hardy and Forrest Whitaker to take up this project!

An extremely poor sibling to its prequel. Glitchy, unauthentic, and inaccurate. Pathetically poor editing, disinterested direction, and equally poor acting did little to add any kind of value to a boring film. The lead actor was poorly cast, and Denzel Washington inexplicably hammed it up. No saving grace to prop up a movie which needn’t have been made at all.

Virtually indestructible supermen and super-villains, with a politically appropriate nod to a 'person-of-color' baddie with a golden heart, this ridiculous action caper is true to stereotype. Ridiculously choreographed action scenes, all in pursuit of a storage device that contains (hold your breath) evidence of corruption by a high level intelligence officer, who will stop at nothing to recover this said device, including using a morally bankrupt contractor who thinks nothing of blowing up entire neighborhoods. There, that's the entire plot in a nutshell. What follows over 2 hours of run-time is a total bludgeoning of the senses. Totally presumptuous of the film makers to position this as a spy caper, because it totally lacks in any subtleties. Even James Bond is more believable than the Gray Man. Unrealistic, unbelievable plot with fashionably confused camera-work that accomplishes nothing other than leaving the viewer dizzy. Wafer-thin plot line with absurd over the top acting by all the main cast left this viewer cold and uninvested in the fate of the protagonist and his sidekick. Overall, a pathetically wannabe and pretentious film which is neither relevant, nor engaging.

Should’ve been named “Drivel”; apt title for this pathetic film.

Too filmy. Goes overboard on vulgarity under the pretext of realism, and therein lies the dichotomy - how can something intended to be filmy ever be realistic? Hussain Zaidi has an undeniable in-depth knowledge about the Mumbai underworld, but chooses to embellish his scripts with sufficient masala to keep the average Indian consumer salivating. Sadly, it doesn’t do much to captivate the discerning movie goer who values quality, facts, and understated portrayals.
