I have read every Louise Penny book in this series, and loved them, until this book and the one before it. They were both so difficult to follow. This one had so many characters, and so many random clues. I wanted to quit reading and then considered just skipping to the end to see how it ended, but because it was Louise Penny, I kept going and got through it. The charm of the previous books is simply gone. And the cliff-hanger at the end tells me the next book will be more of the same. I’m sad that the series as we knew it seems to have ended.
