People seem to love it or hate it. Seems a real shame as great 60’s vibe and real insight into being a spy. Stop comparing it with Michael Caine; enjoy the acting and a modern thriller highlighting the Cold War politics of the 1960s. I like the locations; the twists in the story which questions political dogma over national loyalty. Strong cast without anyone stealing the scenes. Please watch the original film but above all read the excellent novel that created Harry Palmer.
