What a shocker! Some things are described as a ‘slow burn’. This one only has a wet, soggy box of matches and never lit up. Expected to see an “In honour of lighting director, Fred Smith” at the end, because the person in charge of lighting (if there was one?) either died or simply did absolutely nothing. Scenes were needlessly in darkened rooms etc. How they conned Julia Roberts to put her name to this has got me beat. At one stage the .film came to a pregnant pause near the end and you said to yourself, “Surely they won’t end it here?” but your were secretly hoping they would so it would be over. Give this one a big swerve and spend those 2 hours of your life on something worthwhile!
