Not surprised at all that a male director chose an hyper-sexual approach to a story that could have been great. She had the brain of a child. That makes her A CHILD. “Oh, but that’s the criticism”… no, they’re exploiting the image of a woman sexualising her to “tell a story” that can be told without the graphic scenes. A Director can choose what to show and his choices were indeed poor things. We need more women writing & directing films.
