Asuran (Tamil) Review :
So, I generally don't watch much regional movies but this one was on hubby's demand... So, there was no two ways about it😍
Well, how many of you have hid novels under your pillows in your teenage and read them past your bed time? Well, I did and was caught too... Many times by my mom😜... Anyway, I was a huge fan of Munshi Premchandji and Sidney Sheldon. Loved the way these authors placed their characters and kept you hooked to their plots. I have missed multiple lunches & dinners over them... I am sure all the book lovers will get what I am saying.
'Asuran' is one of the best Tamil movies that I have ever seen. After watching the movie I have grown to RESPECT Dhanush, he convinces us that he is 20 years old when he plays a 20 yo and 60 when he plays a 60 yo.
The script, editing, dialogues, slowmo, everything is just right! There is a fighting sequence during first half of the movie and few scenes are filmed in slowmo that are totally worth watching!
All the supporting cast has done a tremendous job and their performances are to be applauded. If you are someone who likes a good story telling and a perfect direction then you must watch this movie.
*Disclaimer - Few scenes are a bit graphic so, if you are someone who is light hearted then watch at your own risk.
This is one movie where you won't need any of the "super expensive" popcorn!
Special commendation to Director Vetri Maaran for presenting such wonderful art. I have become a huge fan of his work and plan to watch his other movies too... Soon!
I will go with 4.5/5.
I am only sharing my experience, if any of you have a different experiences/opinions then I'd love to hear them. 🙂
Enjoy madi 🙋♀️
