Review โ Life in a Metro
Life in a Metro is easily one of the worst films Iโve ever sat through. Even if I ignore the messy structure, the stories themselves are painfully mid and full of characters making the most ridiculous choices.
Take Rahul and Nehaโs track โ Rahul ends up with her in the end, but for what reason? Neha spends half the film involved with her boss, whoโs twice her age, and yet sheโs suddenly presented as someone deserving of a โgood guy.โ Instead of feeling like love, it just makes Rahul look desperate and spineless for accepting her without question.
Then thereโs Shikha. She knows her husband has been cheating on her for years, and even after he humiliates her, she chooses to forgive him rather than be with Akash, who actually respects and cares for her. Itโs frustrating to watch her settle for toxicity when she had a genuine shot at happiness.
The only arc that was somewhat tolerable was Shrutiโs, but even that couldnโt save the film from being a shallow, exaggerated soap opera dressed up as realism.
In the end, Life in a Metro isnโt bold, emotional, or insightful โ itโs just exhausting. A city full of opportunities reduced to stories of desperation, bad decisions, and unhealthy relationships being glorified.
Rating: 2/10.
