First time I've read anything by this Author. I couldn't enjoy it. Why did Dorian have to be Black and poor. Why couldn't it be the other way around. Why couldn't Mina come from Poor White. Why did Luna have to be Black and African. Even in the future, people of Color can't come from a good Rich environment. I tried to enjoy the book, but my mind kept taking me back to the Dorian character, being Black, poor beaten by drugged out mother. Not sure I want to read anything else from this Author.
