Firestarter: The Story of Bangarra is now available on Netflix. A powerful, inspiring and captivating film which advocates on the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation within art, more specifically, contemporary dance. However, there is more to the plot of the documentary than just dancing. The movie focuses on growth, loss, devastation, racism, oppression, hope, optimism and awakenings. I feel as if the movie has breathed a new light into understanding why representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is so important.

A great movie about morals, values and skills. I really loved the artstyle of the animation and it's great plot. Involves many plot twists and makes you wonder what will be next. One of the few movies where I didn't know what was going to happen next.
