A timeless cult classic ,well acted,made all the more realistic by its stark low Budget production.It was "inspired" by Zarchi's depressing experience of how Police insensitively treated a Young woman that he had driven to them after she had been raped.He claimed it was as though she was being violated a second time.People slam it for being too graphic and violent but that IS what rape and revenge is.Clearly the writer's and director's sympathies are with the victim.She's the Victor by the end.The film is a tough warning to potential rapists that some women will exact payback.(Not that I'm saying that's the right Thing to do).It has an almost Old Testament eye for eye vibe.But New Testament forgiveness is the way to go.i don't find it pornographic or arousing.My heart only goes out in compassion to Jennifer.Anyway,enough rambling.Violent,yes.One of the stronger Video nasties,yes.But Cannibal Holocaust is several degrees more violent,to say the least.

Quite a number of reviewers seem to dislike or hate it.Even being so petty as to slam Anderson's hairdo!Personally I really like it.Yes,the storyline and a number of action scenes fueled by Macgyverisms are pretty ridiculous And the stalactites in the Exeter caves are obviously made of plastic (or something very synthetic).But if you're looking for cheap entertainment and escapism,why complain.?The whole experience is low budget Indiana Jones.Very different in style from the more believable drama of Trail To Doomsday.But I love many of the locations and their variety.Battersea power station's remains are a throw back to the opening gambit of the best Bond movie For Your Eyes Only.As a bonus ,I love Ward's and Blessed's characters.A sweet down to earth intelligent lecturer and researcher is played by Ward(with the inevitable hint of romantic thoughts for Mac) and Blessed plays a loud passionate bombastic professor determined to see his mission through.It's MacGyver.Even IF arguably not as classic good as the series,why complain.Sit back,chill with a beer or two,and escape into it.

I like this movie even though it's not a patch on Jaws.The one Thing that really spoils it though is the arid lakeshore scenery from a Mexican drylands area.Not remotely resembling the Scottish Highlands and the real Loch Ness,although a few bits and pieces were probably filmed in Scotland.But I enjoy the various characters and cannot help but be a fan of especially Lysa Apostle as Julie.But it's listed as 96 minutes.My copy as The Evil Benath Loch Ness is only 83 or 84 minutes.Can someone please confirm if I have a cut copy or not?

I really enjoy this action movie,especially as it was the only Feature length starring Shawn Hoskins,beautiful indeed back in the day (and probably still is!).Low Budget,but ablaze with martial arts Action and escapist violence.But always putting out a worthy message about fearlessly fighting corruption and atrocity perpetrated by various agents,Exposing them to the General public for the bettering of mankind and social conscience.Just the right tiny amount of romance too,tastefully shown,between Hoskins' and Thayer's characters.Well recommended!
