It's fully gripping. But if you don't know it's a retelling of a Greek tragedy, it seems like a mystery you can't solve. And then you think...has it gone all 'green mile'!? If they started the story with a Greek chorus from the original play for instance, it would have been less baffling. But that's just MY opinion. I still enjoyed and would rewatch it though. Ominous and tense throughout which keeps you watching, amazing acting from heavy weights and newcomer's. Expect to have questions though...FOR REAL.
