I enjoyed most of Ann Cleves books, especially the Shetland series. This one, the third in her Matthew Venn stories, was boring. There was no real motivation I could find in the actual murderer. Additionally, the descriptions of the locations had me confused somewhat as I thought there was too much of that and I had a hard time following it.
