Although I agree with all the people saying they love how the ML chose herself and didn't need the prince to save her, I still feel this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Now don't get me wrong, the acting was decent but the script was DREADFUL! It was weird and cringe. And I especially get second-hand embarrassment from watching Cinderella LITERALLY SIT ON THE KING'S STATUE WHICH IS FREAKING TALL WHILE THE KING IS LITERALLY SPEAKING TO THE PEOPLE & SHE 'EXPECTS' PEOPLE NOT TO SEE HER & GETS ALL SURPRISED WHEN THE KING CALLS HER OUT FOR IT WHEN SHE LITERALLY STANDS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB (Sorry for using the word 'literally' so much). The writers were most likely trying to keep the plot going when they pulled that ridiculous move. This movie in all honestly felt a bit rushed. And I'm pretty sure A LOT of people who do embroidery were raging when they saw this specific scene where Cinderella was 'embroidering' CAUSE IT WAS ALL WRONG. When you embroider, you have to pull the thread through each time you use the needle. OBVIOUSLY I'm not expecting this movie to be 5 stars with top-notch acting but they SERIOUSLY couldn't even get that small detail right? I think they were just trying to make this movie more appealing to the Gen Z audience (which I am apart of; I am almost 15 years old), but I will always cringe at this movie cause I like old-fashioned things. And another complaint is that they did a cover of "Somebody to Love" and it wasn't that great... I think they were trying to copy the movie "Ella Enchanted" WHICH IS A MOVIE I RECOMMEND YOU WATCH INSTEAD OF WASTING YOUR TIME ON THIS ONE! But one thing I do like is some of the humor in this adaptation of Cinderella.. and that's it.
