The film Seeking a friend for the end of the World with Steve Carrell addressed a meteor wiping out life on earth as well. It was more humerous and made you think. This movie took a different approach. It also pointed out how self serving and narrow minded the USA media and public can be. Like covid nobody was willing to look at the facts and actually accept them. Merry Streep probably did what was expected of her but certainly not her best work.
