waste of time. another film that casts grown ass adults as teenagers and doesn't even brother to write them like actual teens. really unnecessary sexual commentary. as in, like, 90% of the dialogue between the sisters is the older asking the younger if she's banged a dude yet. A+ character development. you expect them to go out, navigate this new apocalyptic world, and fight to survive, but no. virtually the ENTIRE movie is spent in their house and when they aren't in the house they're in the neighborhood. the farthest they go is a checkpoint guarded by a whopping one soldier, before they turn around and go back to... you guessed it... home! the infected are cool when you do see them but unfortunately you don't see many. there's like, a 3 minute scene where you see a group of them and think "hell yeah, cool chase scene!" nah. lower those expectations. also, are we going to talk about how badly they rip off other series that are actually good? it's like if "28 days later" and "the last of us" had an ugly baby. the coughing up blood, the clicking, c'mon man. also, unrealistic as hell. teenager conveniently accesses private military radio channels. the neighborhood is blown to HELL and somehow hiding in a swimming pool with a bomb practically up their ass saves them. you see maybe 6 soldiers the entire movie, even though the country is on martial law. i will give it to em, at least the soldiers we DO see hold their guns right. anyway, spare yourself the trouble of watching a movie that consists of 1, sitting in a house and 2, making bad decisions.

do NOT watch this. strong monster lead-up only for it to turn out to be inbred hillbillies. you literally see one perched in a tree, broad daylight, jet black skin and no hair, only for him to somehow be some inbred white dude. hints at saving the brother only for him to be pointlessly killed. painfully stupid characters. like, seriously, they're probably inbred too. one had no accent the first time we see her then suddenly has a THICK country accent the next. painfully forced dialogue and romance that is completely out of the blue. ends with them deciding to kill the last inbred neanderthal (who is already dead) with AK-47s that a park ranger, for whatever reason, had. no resolution beyond that. the movie ends with them cocking the guns and walking into the woods. the most you can get out of this movie is making fun of the alarming amount of characters with egregiously large ears and their names being straight out of the 1800s. the adventures of killian and crawford. but beyond that? nothing much. genuinely a painful watch.
