Yes it’s slow, yes there are side stories that aren’t fully explained. But this is Furlong’s life, it’s how he views the world. I was mesmerised from the start, caught up in the atmosphere of fear and secrecy (and relief, that only some girls got caught up in the nightmare - everyone kind of knew it was going on). I love how the church is shown to be vile, the way the girls were abused, what those evil nuns got away with. I’m glad this is all being exposed, and not before time.
