Basically Bosch season 8. Everything is just as good as it used to be (if you don’t include the jump to ad-supported Freevee, which everyone already hates with good reason): the acting, noir aesthetic, the grit, even the title song are all up to snuff with the original. The only thing missing is some of the original show’s characters—especially Lance Reddick, who doesn’t even make a guest appearance unfortunately. Some of the others do show up though, and the show keeps up pacing and intrigue with multiple plots running the whole time. I hope they keep telling the story of Harry Bosch forever.
