I'm trying hard to like this show and support Australian productions but there are too many leaps of faith asked of the viewers to give it an unqualified endorsement. For example, in the latest episode I've watched (#4 Black Winged Angels) a character falls 140 metres down a dam wall and survives! A fight that starts in bright daylight in a carpark of a restaurant, with the city nearby, ends up in a car chase in the middle of nowhere on the blackest of nights. We go from daylight to pitch black night as easily as flicking a switch.
Great looking production that clearly imitates Scandinavian crime shows but it is a long way short of great storytelling.
I'll stick with it but Australian storytelling has a long ay to go. Heaven forbid we get more shows like Harrow!
