Perhaps there is a fantastic number out there that explains how long a theoretical physicist can talk about any other topic before the conversation spirals into theoretical physics and stays there. Unfortunately for those of us hoping to learn about this particular fantastic number, we arrive at the inevitable before the author has a chance to reveal it to us.
