Lord of the rings has become a genre it feels and you can forgive the film makers for stretching the narrative to get bums on seats etc. I was really looking forward to this latest version. All the elements are the for a an adventurous and bold journey through the realms of the saga.
Admittedly I've only watched 3 episodes so forgive me for maybe posting a premature review.
Ep 1 & 2 were very reasonable. A cautious but nonetheless confident start. Episode 3, the whole thing crashed. It's as if I sat through over an hour of a third rate cheesy 90s fantasy drama like Hercules. I'd lost track what the story was, the absurd Numenor set up, and everything wrapped in a hammy studio environment which made me wonder where was the money spent. I don't even know what the plot is.
Sorry. But I've abandoned it. You will too
