I like Darkest Dungeon II. It is a different way of playing Darkest Dungeon, and I find the game challenging and enjoyable. I am glad that Red Hook tried something different with their game and kept it interesting and fresh. The game is as visually appealing as Darkest Dungeon I, and the addition of Hero Shrines and Paths makes for a diverse cast of characters with interesting and powerful combinations. I have heard it said that the game is too hard. I imagine for some players it can be, but that is part of the joy of playing the game. I would recommend this game to players who are looking for good combat, interesting characters, and bragging rights once they have beaten the game. Good luck, and remember: "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer."
