Mephisto Waltz

Watched first, and beginning of second season. The characters are arch and flat at the same time. Soapy brief scenes of characters ( the White folks have no chemistry). Scenes framed with overdramatic music, seemingly to inject drama into a vacuum. Female lead seems detached from all; does not connect with this reviewer. Zero zip, wit or charisma in ( credit to another reviewer - ) this “cheap box of chocolates” with fake gold wrappers.
